Meta is rolling out updates that could use your public content, yes, your posts and comments, to train its AI systems. While this might sound like a futuristic leap, it\u2019s already happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But here\u2019s the good news: you can object.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it only takes a few taps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s happening?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Meta (the parent company of Facebook and Instagram) plans to include public user-generated content in its AI training datasets. This means your witty captions, heartfelt posts, or spicy comment threads could help feed their machine learning models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For some, it\u2019s not a big deal. For others, it\u2019s a hard no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you fall into the latter category, you have the right to object; but the deadline is 27 May 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Tap through to object<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      That\u2019s it. You\u2019re done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
