How to stop LinkedIn Pages from seeing that you visited them

Did you know that LinkedIn company pages can see when you have visited them?
By default, LinkedIn allows organisations to see that you have viewed their Page, along with some of your profile information.
If you prefer to browse discreetly, here is how to turn it off in seconds.
What is “Page Visit Visibility” on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn has a setting called Page visit visibility.
When it is switched on:
- Organisations can see that you visited their LinkedIn Page
- They may see your name, profile photo, job title, industry and location, depending on your profile visibility settings
When it is switched off:
- Your visit remains private
- Organisations will not be notified that you viewed their Page
Important: This setting is separate from LinkedIn’s profile viewing mode, which controls whether people see that you viewed their personal profile.
How to stop pages from seeing that you visited them on Mobile
Follow these steps
- Open the LinkedIn app
- Tap your profile picture
- Go to Settings
- Tap Visibility
- Select Page visit visibility
- Toggle off “Allow organisations to see when you visit their LinkedIn Page”
That is it. Your visits are now private.
How to Turn It Off on Desktop
- Click your profile picture in the top right corner
- Select Settings & Privacy
- Click Visibility in the left menu
- Choose Page visit visibility
- Switch the toggle to Off
Is It On by Default?
Yes. For most users, this setting is turned on by default.
If you have never checked it, organisations may already be able to see your Page visits.
Should You Turn It Off?
It depends on your strategy.
You might keep it on if:
- You want companies to notice your interest, for example when job hunting or building partnerships
- You are intentionally increasing your visibility
You might turn it off if:
- You are researching competitors
- You are browsing discreetly
- You prioritise privacy
On LinkedIn, visibility is a strategy, not just a setting.
